Following San Camillo Hospital in Rome, the EGOI network continues to grow with the addition of the CMSO Endocrine-Metabolic Center in Salerno, becoming the first EGOI-PCOS outpatient clinic in the Campania region and a new reference point for women’s health in Southern Italy.
Already recognised as a centre of excellence for the diagnosis, treatment and research of gynaecological, endocrine and metabolic conditions, this new partnership further strengthens EGOI’s commitment to providing women with access to highly specialised and multidisciplinary care.
Over the years, CMSO has developed an integrated model of care focused on the endocrine, metabolic, nutritional and reproductive aspects of PMOS (Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome), in line with the new understanding of the syndrome as a complex endocrine and metabolic condition.
The inclusion of CMSO in the EGOI network also represents the meeting point between the international vision promoted by EGOI and the long-standing scientific contribution of Professor Francesco Orio, whose research laid the groundwork for many of the concepts that today underpin the PMOS paradigm.
Under the leadership of Dr. Marcello Orio and supported by a multidisciplinary team of specialists, the new EGOI-PCOS outpatient clinic will offer women timely access to integrated care pathways within one centre.
Welcome to the EGOI network. Together, shaping the future of women’s health.
